Transformative Teaching

How can we use differentiated instruction to design transformative, student-centered learning opportunities?

Teachers can transform their lessons into student-centered, active learning opportunities with a little help from educational technology and a foundation in differentiated instruction. During this session, participants will learn what transformative teaching looks like in a connected classroom and how differentiation can help bring instruction to the next level.
  • learn how differentiating content, process, and product can help you reach the transformation level of the Arizona Technology Integration Matrix (TIM);

  • explore how the Arizona TIM can be referenced to design transformative lessons;

  • interact with the content through a station rotation model, and:

  • show evidence of integrating the ideas from the course into their classroom.

There is NO COST to participate in this course.

The 3 hour blended learning opportunity includes approximately 1 hour of online activities (through Canvas LMS) that need to be completed prior to the face-to-face meeting.

The 2 hour face-to-face portion of this blended course asks participants to rotate through three different stations. Each station will last about 20 minutes each. Participants will receive instructions on what to do at each station through printed "EdTech Recipes." You will also have the opportunity to participate in fun, engaging, collaborative, and reflective opportunities.
