Eagles Principal's Update
Last Week of the School Year: School Closure Week 10
Dear Eagles Families,
Eagles Families,
It is hard to believe that we have 4 days left of the 2019-20 school year! In March and April it seemed like time was standing still. This last 3 weeks have flown by. What a unique year this has been for all of us. Thank you for all of your support these last nine weeks; phone calls, emails, ZOOM meetings, texts and more. We appreciate your partnership with us more than ever before.
Please give your kids an extra hug from me. I miss seeing each one of them and long for a typical school day. I hope that you and your family have an enjoyable and safe summer. We cannot wait to see you in the Fall!
To our 5th graders moving on to middle school, we wish you the very best. You are all ready for this next milestone and I know you will enjoy it. Stop back and see us sometime. We love to see what is happening with our alumni.
Don't forget to come by during our device drop-off and supply pick up next week. Everyone has something to pick up! The times are listed below.
Have a great Memorial Day weekend and an amACEing summer!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Lingle

I'll Miss You!!
Dear Eagles Students and Families,
I can’t believe that two years have already passed, and it is time for my internship to end. It has truly been a whirlwind adventure.
I want to take this opportunity to say thank you for everything you’ve done to make this such a fun and memorable experience. When I started at Eagles, everyone told me that Eagles Elementary was like a family. It only took as long as my first “Back to School Night” to see exactly what they were talking about. The warmth, kindness, and sense of welcoming I experienced that evening was incomparable, and it continued throughout the duration of my time at the school.
Eagles Elementary is an incredibly special school, and I feel very lucky that I was able to call it home for the past two years. As I move forward, I want to wish you all the best. I am truly going to miss all of the smiling faces that greeted me each day and all the fun times that were had. The people and experiences Eagles Elementary brought into my life have forever changed me for the better.
Even though I am moving on from Eagles, I will still be a member of the Fargo Public Schools family, so please don’t ever hesitate to reach out. I would love nothing more than to catch up with an old acquaintance or work with a familiar face. Just like the Eagles community did for me, I will always consider each of you family.
Take Care,
Jacob “Mr. K” Knodel

Celebrating our 5th Graders!!
Do you want to cheer on our 5th graders and their families? See how you can in the information below:
You are invited to line the sidewalks of 35th Ave South going East (from the end of the Eagles playground area) on Thursday, May 28th at 11:30am to help clap out this years 5th graders as they drive by. Bring signs, your loudest voices, & most importantly, stand 6 feet apart. Masks are encouraged.
Fifth grade students and their families will be driving through the Eagles loop Where ONLY STAFF will be. They will then take a right down 35th until they reach River Drive where hopefully lots of K-4 students and families will be clapping. We hope to make their last year at Eagles a memorable one.
Please consider biking/walking if you live in the area. If you do drive, please try not to park on 35th to allow the 5th graders to see all of you.
Activities for families to use now or this summer! See the documents below for instructions and fun games.
Eagles Playground is Reopening
Playgrounds Reopening
As of Thursday, May 21, all Fargo area playgrounds will be reopening for community use, including playgrounds located on school grounds. This decision was jointly made by the Fargo Park District and Fargo Public Schools. We look forward to families using these community spaces again. Community members are strongly encouraged to social distance while using playgrounds and surrounding fields, and properly hand wash/sanitize after visiting a communal playground. Taking these simple steps will help slow the spread of COVID-19.
Transition Summer School.......
Summer Check-Out at Eagles
Is your child looking for a summer book resource? Fargo Public Schools librarians are hosting a summer Curbside Checkout for all students who wish to check out reading material. Beginning Wednesday, June 10, each student can check out, pick up, and return books. Students begin by filling out this Form. This will be done each time they wish to check out books, with a limit of five books per check out. They will then pick up their books during the pickup time window, return their books on the next available date, and request more. Those who check out books on the final date will return the books to school once school is back in session.
Counseling Corner
Can you believe it? Summer is almost here! Most likely, this is a time your family has been looking forward to and a break from school is just around the corner. I have created Mrs. Larson’s Top 10 Summer Safety Tips and I would love if you would read them with your child!
If this summer is a time of uncertainty, worry and stress, please remember that we are here to help you with resources within our community. Please REACH OUT! We would love to hear from you. I hope to see you all soon!
