Scholarship ReportingIt is an exciting time of year where we start tracking the monetary amount of scholarships our seniors have received for their post-secondary plans. If your senior has earned an academic-based scholarship, please have them fill out this form. Please do not report the HOPE/Zell Miller Scholarship or any athletic-based scholarships. These will not be included in the grand total. All students that have reported academic based scholarships by May 5th will be invited to our Senior Awards Night on May 16th.

Pathway Medallion ApplicationEvery year we recognize students that have met the requirements to be pathway completers. Students must meet a variety of criteria in order to earn a medallion for graduation. All requirements can be found on the NFHS FCS Pathway page. Students must submit a medallion application in order to qualify to be a pathway completer. However, students that have only earned a CTAE medallion will not be required to fill out the form. They will need to speak with their CTAE teacher to confirm they have met requirements. The application can be found here.

Senior Letters Letters have started to be turned in already for our newest Raider Tradition. We will collect letters from now until April 28th, 2023. This is a hard deadline as we will need ample time to sort letters. Letters can be dropped off in person, or mailed to the school directly. All letters must be put in an envelope. Senior letters will be distributed on May 17th at Senior Sunset. More information can be found here.

Senior Dues Senior Dues must be paid in order for students to participate in the graduation ceremony at Gas South Arena on May 21st, 2023 at 2pm. Senior Dues cover the cost for cap/gown, the diploma/diploma cover, rental of the Gas South Arena, the Senior Picnic, and Senior Breakfast. Dues are $170 and must be paid ASAP. Dues must be paid online at 3rd Ascent here.

Senior Week Senior Week will be held April 24th – April 28th. Cap and Gown Distribution will be held on Wednesday, April 26th during 2nd period and then students will head to Coal Mountain Field for the Annual Senior Picnic during Raider Time and Wellness. On Friday, April 28th, we will host Senior Bingo in the cafeteria during Raider Time to win fun prizes sponsored by Student Council.

Theme days are as follows:

  • Monday: Adam Sandler Day (Dress the way this celebrity dresses in public…very iconic!)
  • Tuesday: Anything But A Backpack Day (Ditch the backpack and put your stuff in something else!)
  • Wednesday: Future Day (Rep where you are going/what you are doing after high school…career, college, military…etc.)
  • Thursday: Throwback Day (Dress in what you would have worn on your first day of Kindergarten!)
  • Friday: Senior Citizen Day (Grab your gray wig and a walker, let’s play bingo!)

May Events

  • Senior Final Exams will be held between May 9th and May 11th. This allows final grades to be submitted before graduation. All graduation requirements must be completed in order to participate in graduation.

  • Senior Awards Night is Invitation Only and will be held on May 16th. This night is to honor students that have been awarded academic based scholarships and a variety of school-based awards. It will be held in Raider Arena.

  • Senior Breakfast will be held at 9AM on Thursday, May 18th. We will provide food and drinks for students starting at 8:30 and the meeting will start at 9AM. We will also distribute graduation tickets and graduate parking passes with their regalia. During breakfast, we will go over expectations for graduation. If any student is unable to attend, the presentation will be available on the senior class news page and tickets/parking pass/regalia can be picked up in the front office after the breakfast.

  • Baccalaureate will be held on Thursday, May 18th at 6pm. It will be held at First Baptist Church Cumming. Graduates are expected to wear their graduation gown, but not their cap. This is an optional event. A reception will follow the short ceremony.

Graduation Tickets - Graduation will be held at Gas South Arena at 2pm on Sunday, May 21st, 2023. All guests will need a ticket. Graduates will be given 12 tickets and a student parking pass on the morning of the senior breakfast. Dress code and expectations will be shared on May 18th at Senior Breakfast.
