Host of Common Ground
Annette Ross is a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College where she concentrated her studies in religion and ethics. She was a visiting scholar at the Hastings Center for bioethics where she explored the broad subject of hope and medicine. Her purpose with Common Ground is to ask questions, and to share, through thoughtful conversation, the aspects of humanity that so uniquely connect all of us. She is a happily married mother of five spirited young daughters.

Dr. Marilyn Freimuth is the Clinical Psychology Program Director at Fielding Graduate University and an addiction specialist. She has authored Hidden Addictions: Assessment Practices for Psychotherapists, Counselors, and Health Care Providers (2005; Paperback 2009), Addicted? Recognizing Destructive Behavior Before It’s too Late? (2008) and numerous articles. Her work examines the full scope of substance and behavioral addictions and presents efficient means for identifying and treating such problems. She routinely conducts trainings for health care professionals on how to improve assessment and treatment of addictive disorders. She practices in NYC and Santa Barbara, CA.
