November 2020
Tiffany Creek Elementary Monthly Newsletter
Brrrr! Happy Winter...I mean November! This month brings many exciting school activities. TCE students will be celebrating Veteran's Day (albeit different than normal), learning about the voting and election process, Thanksgiving history and completing our Fall assessments.
November also brings a much deserved break for students and staff to relax, have leisure time for hobbies, and spend time with family. Whether you enjoy hunting, shopping, baking, 4-wheeling or any other Fall activities or traditions...Enjoy Your Time Off!
Students, please remember to be safe, responsible and respectful outside of school as well.

Grant Awards
Congratulations to Mrs. Hellmann for earning The CenturyLink Clarke M. Williams Foundation Grant in the amount of $3489.63 for the Fingertip Learning Project. This grant was written to place devices in the hands of students resulting in one-to-one technological learning in her third grade classroom. In addition, an Alexa device will be purchased to answer daily questions that a curious eight and nine year olds need answered. This was one of five CenturyLink grants awarded in Wisconsin.
Thank you, CenturyLink!
Congratulations to Mrs. Ouellette for receiving the following grant! 3M of Menomonie donated over $600 to the Early Learning program so that we could update and replace some items in our Discovery Kits. The kits are sent home weekly with families to help them engage in their child's learning. Along with the materials that 3M donated, we will put together instructions on how to use the materials and will prompt the families to ask some higher level thinking questions for their children. The materials we purchased will be used year after year and have the potential to touch hundreds of children in our school district. ELC staff are excited to continue to provide educational resources for our families. With the support of 3M we will allow more children the opportunity to learn through these new STEM activities.
Thank You 3M!
