Wuz Up in 7th Science?
December 2015 Issue
Who Are We?
We believe science is a natural part of the learning process. After all, it's the world we live in. We are committed to motivating our students, creating a passion for the love of science through exploration and investigation! We also believe that all students should be given the opportunity to enhance their critical thinking skills, scientific reasoning and problem solving. All students will be provided the opportunity to conduct laboratory and field investigations at least 40% of the instructional time. By providing our students with high quality instruction and curriculum, they will be able to make informed decisions about the world they live in.

Our Top Mad Scientists
Mrs. Peyton, M.Ed.
I am crazy about Science and Hallsville ISD. I have taught science for 16 years. I love the challenge of motivating our students to develop a passion for science and exploring the world we live in! I also enjoy church, family, DIY hobbies... and the great outdoors: such as, fishing, hiking, mountain climbing and attending school sporting events.
Mrs. Lasseter
I love teaching science here at HJH. My greatest joy is spending time with my family. I also enjoy building furniture and sports.
Mrs. Hunt
Mrs. Berry has been filling in for Mrs. Hunt while she is out on maternity leave. Mrs. Hunt will return after the Christmas holiday. We want to tell Mrs. Berry, thank you for doing such a great job while Mrs. Hunt has been out. We will miss you!
