NYC School Surveyđźš©

Mrs. Perez-Fung has sent out the NYC School Survey this past week with the green envelopes. Check your child's backpack. Let's work together to "Dream, Believe and Achieve!"

Instructions to fill out the school survey online from Mrs. Perez-Fung:

For more information please follow this link www.nycschoolsurvey.org.

Please follow the link below to take the survey. To access the survey families will need their child’s 9-digit OSIS (Student Identification Number) number. When asked for the access number, enter a lowercase “f” followed by their child’s nine-digit OSIS number (see example below). This will bring you to the survey.

OSIS (ID): f123456789 (example)

A paper copy along with a self-addressed stamped envelope was sent home yesterday, Monday, March 7th for families who prefer to fil out a paper copy. If you choose to fill out the survey online you do not need to fill out the paper copy. Please be reminded, if you have multiple children, you will need to fill out a survey for each child.

âť” Questions to Ask Your Child About Their Day

I know that when I ask my son, Brendan, how his day was at school, every day he says the same thing. "It was good." I always follow with, "Well, what was so good about it?" and the reply is "It was just good." As a parent, I want to know what my children did all day at school, so I have learned recently to ask different questions. Here are some questions you can ask your child at the end of the day:

1. Tell me about the best part of your day.

2. What was the hardest thing you had to do today?

3. Did any of your classmates do anything funny?

4. Tell me about what you read in class.

5. Who did you play with today? What did you play?

6. Do you think math [or any subject] is too easy or too hard?

7. What's the biggest difference between this year and last year?

8. What rules are different at school than our rules at home? Do you think they're fair?

9. Who did you sit with at lunch?

10. Can you show me something you learned (or did) today?

School Start Time⏰

Just a friendly reminder, school begins at 8:00 a.m. We are proving a ten minute grace period and not marking students late until 8:10 a.m. The doors open at 7:30 a.m. at the main building and 7:45 a.m. at the annex for those families that need early drop-off. Students will be marked late if they arrive after 8:10 a.m. Thank you for working with us.
