Good afternoon MHS families,

As we gear up to head into February break we have an important parent night presentation on Wednesday for any parent or guardian in the district to learn more about substance abuse and talking with our students about it. The event starts at 6:30pm and should last roughly an hour.

When we return from break we will be sending out information regarding spring conferences which are on the afternoon of March 9th, so please be on the lookout for that information the week we return.

Check out the newsletter below for other updates about what is happening at MHS and I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Entrepreneurship Students Donate $1,000 During Fall Semester!

The MHS Entrepreneurship students successfully ran a small business selling their handmade candles, lip balm, and ornaments during the fall semester. Using their proceeds, they voted to support the Mansfield Animal Shelter with a donation of $850, while also making $150 of microloans to aspiring entrepreneurs in Congo (DRC), Jordan, and Senegal via Kiva.org. Since the inception of this small business project, students have donated over $15,000 to local charities and organizations, while also funding future semesters of Entrepreneurship students to complete the same project.
