Plan Relies Heavily on Access
We will not let that be a barrier for students.
Superintendent Mike Daria says the school system will remove barriers to ensure students have devices and online access to complete school work.
Learning At Home
During the current closure, school administrators have developed an e-learning plan called "Learning at Home: The TCS Way," which will feature a blended model of learning that includes the use of Google Classroom for students in grades PK-5, Canvas for grades 6-12, while offering academic packets upon request.
Superintendent Mike Daria said part of the preparation includes making sure students can be successful in this learning model.
"The school system is looking at ways to provide access so that no student goes without access. This plan relies heavily on access and we will not let that be a barrier for students," said Daria. "It is a hybrid plan it is both virtual online platform, but there some cases where paper packets will still be used."
