In case you missed the fun this past Friday, check out the picture below. I'll be sharing more photos and videos in next week's edition of the Wolverine Weekly as well.

In the meantime, I want to give a HUGE "thank you" to the PCO group for all of their hard work in sponsoring this amazing event for our students and the community. Your efforts are so appreciated!

Book Fair is Coming!

Parent-Teacher conferences are coming up on November 7 and 10. That means the Scholastic Book Fair is also coming to our school! The book fair will be in the media center on those days from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Please be on the lookout for more information from our librarian, Ms. Lorenz!

Raptor Security System

As a reminder, our school district uses the Raptor Visitor Management System to strengthen the security of our school.

Upon entering a district building during the school day, visitors are asked to present their US government-issued identification or Driver's License. If a visitor for some reason does not have a United States government-issued identification, school personnel may use another form of identification and manually enter the person's name into the Raptor System.

The Raptor system checks to ensure that registered sex offenders do not enter our schools without our knowledge. No other identifying information is collected or recorded and the information is not shared with any outside agency. Once the entrance is approved, the Raptor system initiates a badge that identifies the visitor, the date and the reason for visit.

Whenever possible, we encourage visitors and volunteers to visit the school office prior to the day of their visit to obtain their visitor's badge. This step will help save time!

Child Tax Credit

Families can access federal funds through the Child Tax Credit. Families with no income or low income could get at least $3,000 per child with the Child Tax Credit, plus $1,400 with the third stimulus payment - even if they have never filed taxes before and if they have not filed taxes this year.

There is an easy form for people to file on their mobile devices in 15 minutes or less at: getctc.org. The deadline is November 15, 2022.

Mrs. Guentzel recently helped several 5th graders train and compete in a 5K race. This was a part of the 5th grade Enrichment opportunities! Even Mrs. Guentzel's daughter, Brooklyn, got in on the fun! Well done, Wolverines!
