Regular Meeting
Student Representative to the Board Aryaman Khandelwal was recognized by Ellen Kern of Senator Pat Browne's office for winning the Gloria Bannon Prize for Young Heroes and many other accolades.
Aryaman also gave his monthly Student Rep to the Board report which can be viewed here.
John Vignone, Director of Business Administration gave a 2018-19 Budget Update.
Rob Avitabile of Alvin H. Butz, Inc. gave an overview of the bid packages that were received for the new elementary school. Over 150 contractors were interested and 82 bids were received for various projects related to the new school building. The board asked several questions related to ideas they had to save costs on the project.
Lisa Roth and Rob Cohen would not give approval for cyber school mandated payments to illustrate their stance that cyber charters are not educating students properly and that taxpayers should not be required to fund them.

Carol Facciano gave this report for the Foundation.
Lisa Ervin started this past week as the new Executive Director.

There will be a Men's Night fun event at Eight Oaks Distillery on April 20th to help raise funds for the Foundation.
Getting Grace, opened nationwide this week and is currently playing at the AMC Center Valley 16 & AMC Allentown 16 locations in the Lehigh Valley. Our own teacher Samantha Edwards is one of the Executive Producers of the movie.
Aryaman thanked the Board and Administration for supporting student voices this past month during gun violence protests across the country.
The public is cordially invited to attend the Community Advisory Council Meeting on April 12th at 6:15 p.m. in the Parkland High School Library Classroom. The topic of the meeting will be the “Annual State of the District Presentation.” It will be given by Superintendent Richard Sniscak, Assistant Superintendent Rodney Troutman, and Assistant to the Superintendent for Operations Tracy Smith.
