TRICK OR TRUNK
Our Trick or Trunk event is almost here! We hope that you all come out and enjoy this fun event with us on Friday, Oct 28th from 5 - 6:30pm. Bring your costumes and your candy collection bags or buckets!
Thank you to all of those that have been sending in candy for us to distribute during our event. We love seeing the kids engage in some friendly competition for the class with the most collected candy! So far, we have collected over 600 pounds of candy! As of today, Mr. Hempstead's First grade class is winning the candy collection competition but it is not too late for the other classes to catch up!
We will be sending home entry bands for those students that brought in candy for the event! Look out for those in your child's backpack this week. Please make sure to bring them with you on Friday to get your free entry!

PUMPKIN CONTEST
As a reminder, students should not wear any Halloween costumes to school on Monday, October 31st. There will not be any Halloween celebrations on this day. Our school Halloween celebration will be during our Trick or Trunk event this Friday evening so we hope to see their fun costumes then!

Band and Orchestra Concerts
Our 5th graders have had a fantastic start to the year with band and orchestra! The kids are all doing so well and their teachers are very proud of them. As a reminder, please make sure your child has the Essential Elements Book 1 that matches your student's instrument. The students are strongly encouraged to practice at home at least three times a week for only 20-30 minutes. This has a HUGE impact on improvement, enjoyment and success.
Please help make sure instruments and music books come to school on Mondays and Wednesdays. The first Band concert of the year will be November 9th and the first orchestra concert will be November 10th. The concerts are a lot of fun and the students can show off their hard work. All of the concerts are at Creighton Middle School and more details will be sent out closer to each event.
PARENT COFFEE FEEDBACK
Thank you to those of you that have been participating in our Parent Coffees every month. It has been a great opportunity for us to get some feedback about what information you are needing as parents. This month we had parents ask about our local Jeffco Public Library and what kinds of events they have available for kids. Below you will find a button that will take you to the Jeffco Public Librarty (JCPL) Events page for Belmar Library, which is the closest one to Eiber. They have some fun activities available, please check it out! They are happy to help you obtain a library card so that you can take advantage of all of the books and resources they have available.
JCPL purchases memberships at local art, culture, history and outdoor destinations so that library cardholders can explore Colorado for free. Culture Pass benefits vary by destination. Each library cardholder is eligible for two Culture Passes per month. Limit one pass per institution, per library card at a time. Here is the link to access the available passes. We hope you check it out!

Lakewood High School Trick or Treat Street
Lakewood High School’s Trick or Treat Street event is this Thursday, October 27th, from 6:15 - 8:00 pm. They are so excited to see all the wonderful costumes there! This event will be completely free admission, and will include candy, games, and crafts. There will also be a canned food drive happening which they encourage people to take part in. Parking will be provided on the West side of the building (off Kipling) for parents, near the west entrance. They are very excited about their event and are hoping to see some Eiber families there!
