March 13 -17 is School Board Appreciation Week in Georgia. We love our Houston County School Board Members.

Georgia Rodeo State livestock show!!! Gracie Bananto won 1st place in class, and is the reserve division champion!!! This was Gracie's last show of her high school career and she went out with a bang!!!
Northside FFA at the Capitol was a huge success!!! Gracie Bananto spoke in front of all of the Georgia Senate about Ag education. Molly Crabb and Lacey Weddington spoke about what we are doing at Northside with our elected officials. It was a great day!!
Our FCCLA students also enjoyed a Day at the Capital!! Mrs. Hoover, Mrs. King, and Ms. Pollard took 18 students to the capitol and were able to meet Governor Kemp!!! Some students were able to sit in on a few legislative sessions, and all of them were able to participate in the Capitol Scavenger Hunt.

Any student in grades 8th - 12th that will attend Northside High School in the Fall are invited try out for
JV Football, Varsity Football, and Competition Cheerleading - March 20th - 23rd
Basketball Cheerleading - March 27th - 30th
You MUST have an updated physical to try out for cheerleading.

The NHS theater department thoroughly entertained elementary school students from Centerville, Westside, Northside, Miller, Parkwood, and Eagle Springs. Their performance of Schoolhouse Rock was both fun, and educational. Our guest students all had a blast and learned a lot.
Prom is Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 8-11 pm in the Northside Competition Gym. The theme is Golden Gala. Tickets are $30 each and go on sale March 13th on GoFan. No tickets will be sold at the door.
Save the Dates for Chicago...the musical!!!
The following students competed in the Young Georgia Author's writing competition.
Each student who participated was given a gift bag full of goodies and a certificate of participation. A winner was chosen to represent each grade level. Each winner received a gift bag, certificate and $50. The winners will now move forward in the competition.

Senior Awards Night is May 9, 2023 at 6 PM
Last Day of School is May 24, 2023 - Half Day for students!!!
The Graduation Ceremony for the Class of 2023 is Friday, May 26, 2023 at 7:30 PM in Perry at the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter in Reaves Arena.
Each graduate will receive 12 tickets for the ceremony
Graduation practice is Thursday, May 25th at 8:00 AM
