K-5 Summer Reading Library Information & Reading Lists Are Out!

The summer reading list includes a variety of authors and types of books which take into account the diversity of our student body. Please encourage your student to read quietly for at least 20 minutes a day.


Please look at the appropriate grade-level reading and assignment lists here: Elementary Summer Reading and Learning


Books are available in both print format at the Framingham Public Library and on digital platforms like Sora, Overdrive and Hoopla. Please Note: entering kindergarten students will not have access to Sora until the 1st week of school.

FPL Library Card Information

Does your child have a library card?

Please make sure your student has their own library card with the Framingham Public Library (FPL), in preparation for summer reading.


Attached are printable forms in English, Spanish and Portuguese. (FPL requires a hard-copy signature from a parent). Additional information can be obtained on the FPL website. The application can be picked up and/or dropped off at either Framingham Public library location or the book mobile. Please contact your librarian directly with any questions, email addresses below.

Thank you to all FPS families for returning library books. While schools are closed over the summer, please keep school library books safe in your child's backpack to be returned in the fall.
