Our Mission Statement
We, THE Tigers, will be inspired to LEAD, HONOR, and EXCEL today!
Message from Administration
Parents,
We have 8 fun-filled, busy days left with our students! Over the next few days, students will be wrapping up their school year by practicing with reviews, games, hands-on activities, and celebrations of their learning. Thank you for sharing them with us this year!
We are also planning for next year and the big topic is STEAM. We are looking forward to including STEAM activities into our instruction next year. Please take a moment to answer these few questions so that we have your input to build a strong STEAM Initiative, https://northeastisd.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_3kHEBq7PrveuT2d .
On a safety note, our campus will be receiving video monitoring at the front entrance with a push button entrance for next school year. We will also have proxy tag keyless entry for our staff on 5 of our exterior doors. With the recent school shootings, more and more conversations are being held to ensure we take the necessary precautions to protect our children in NEISD. I will continue to keep our families updated with changes that impact our campus.
Hope you've had a great weekend, and enjoy an extra day! We look forward to seeing all of our students on Tuesday.
Sincerely,
Tara Bailey

Warmer weather = Overflowing Lost and Found
Parents, as the weather warms up we find lots of sweaters and jackets around the school with no name on them – they end up in lost and found and it is OVERflowing! Help us out by checking closets and then sending your students on a mission to find what is lost and bring it home! ALL items will be donated to a charity at the end of the semester.

Walking Track Details
Safety: Please read to ensure you are aware of the safety measures we are taking.
Parents,
In the most recent NEISD School Bond, all elementary schools were issued a walking track. The time has come for our track to be installed. I met with the construction committee yesterday, and they will start preparing the work site this Monday, May 14, 2018. Since these are STAAR testing days, we have been ensured that the first three days will be used for securing the area. We will not have relative noise that would impact the testing environment. The construction will last from May 14th until the end of June 2018. Please take note of this for any weekend or after school access to the playground/field area. The playground and basketball courts will be open on the weekend, but the field will remain an active construction zone. The walking track will be installed beside the basketball courts. After next week, you will see a black fence around the work zone. In keeping our area safe, the construction company will not have trucks moving between 7am-8am and 2pm-3:30pm. The construction company will gain access to the area from the Summerglen side of the field, where our walkers enter/exit. Please note that this area will have extra cars parked during work hours. While construction is happening, our staff members will walk all Summerglen walkers to the Summerglen Community gate. If you wish to change your child’s transportation during these last few weeks, please communicate with your child’s teacher as soon as possible. The front car rider line and/or park and pick at the back door may be options you prefer during this time.
During the weekend, we can expect that there will not be work happening. However, these days may be utilized for any additional time needed.
Again, the Tuscany Heights Elementary Field is closed starting Monday, May 14, 2018 until the end of June while the elementary track is being installed. Thank you for understanding. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but the benefits of having a walking track for our PE program as well as the community will be vast.
Thank you for your understanding,
Tara Bailey
