Tips for Staying Healthy:
According to the CDC, good hand washing is one of the most effective way to prevent you and your family from becoming ill.
Remember to wash hands:
Before, during, and after preparing food
Before eating food
Before and after caring for someone who is sick
Before and after treating a cut or wound
After using the toilet
After changing diaper
After blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing
After touching an animal, animal feed, or animal waste
After touching garbage
Handwashing tips:
Wet your hands with clean, running water (warm or cold), turn off the tap, and apply soap.
Lather your hands by rubbing them together with the soap. Be sure to lather the backs of your hands, between your fingers, and under your nails.
Scrub your hands for at least 20 seconds. Need a timer? Hum the “Happy Birthday” song from beginning to end twice.
Rinse your hands well under clean, running water.
Dry your hands using a clean towel or air dry them.

~~PTO INFORMATION~~
From the Presidents Corner
This week, Ethan Tran shares his story and why he volunteers.
My name is Ethan Tran. I am a refugee of war. My family escaped from Vietnam and after years of being in refugee camps, we arrived to the states in 1979. The communists put my father in jail because he fought for our freedom and my mother ended up being a single parent of six children. We relied on the church and support of the communities and families to help us get established at the time. It was a difficult time for my family. My mother went into trash cans to find clothes for us to wear to go to school and clean houses to put food on the table. I remembered being so excited standing in line at the church to get day old donuts or a turkey for Thanksgiving. I learned to speak English by watching cartoons and prior to 6th grade, I had very little comprehension with what was going on in the classroom . I often reflect back in my life not about the struggles that my family had to endured but the opportunities that was given to us and how it positively shaped all of our lives. Today, I have a family of my own. I've been with my partner, Dwayne Reynolds, for almost 19 years and we adopted our son, Camden, who started Kindergarten at BAE this year. We are in a process of adopting our second son, Joshua. Both came to us when they were just a few days old. I have so much gratitude for this country that has given me so much. This is the only country I know and love that I called my home today.
I made a decision to volunteered to be VP of Ways and Means this year because it's one avenue that allows me to pay it forward. I'm excited and humbled for this opportunity. I hope by sharing my points of view and ideas, that I can help make a difference in our school. Like many of our volunteer families, I have very little time. I run a multi million dollar business and I have people to support and answer to. It is not easy but I am often reminded my Nelson Mandela's words, "It always seems impossible until it's done."
