Thank You & Update
AES Teachers & Staff - You are amazing! Thank you for all of the great work you do every day to support our students and families. These are difficult times, but you demonstrate grit and positivity. We are so lucky to have you.
AES Families & Community- I know the past few weeks have been challenging for families. If you or your children are struggling, there are resources available for help. At school we have people who are ready to assist, and I am inviting you to reach out to us. We have a school counselor, a social worker, a school nurse to go along with teachers, paraprofessionals, behavioral support staff, and of course a principal willing to provide support. While we need to be physically apart, we can talk by phone, have virtual meetings, and share information via email and postal service if necessary.
Beyond the school, the greater Peterborough community has resources as well. The River Center in Peterborough and The Grapevine in Antrim are two family resource centers that can help families in a variety of ways.
Please know that we miss being in school, and we appreciate the time and attention you continue to provide your children as they navigate remote learning.
Our last day of school is May 29th. We will have farewell Zoom meetings for each class in the morning, and our 4th graders will have a "Moving Up" Zoom at noon. At 1:30 pm, we will have a reverse parade where families will be able to drive by the school and wave to our teachers who will be standing outside ready to wave you into summer vacation. (This is sort of a reverse parade). Stay tuned for more details next week.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend,
Stephanie
