What is a Humanist?
A humanist is a person extremely interested and concerned for human welfare, values, and dignity. They believed that their teachings would provide people with the essential skills for future diplomats, lawyers, military leaders, businessmen, and politicians.
Why are they significant?
Humanists were significant because they were the scholars of the Renaissance who emphasized individual and critical thought. They had a great effect on education because believed in studying grammar, poetry, history, mathematics, astronomy, and music.
