Introduction
The poems i am going to be writing about the poems "Sleeping In The Forest" and "Ode To Enchanted Light".
Tone and word choice
The tone in "Sleep In The Forest" is a peaceful and light until the end of the poem in lines "15 - 18". The word choice in "Sleeping In The Forest" is centered in the middle of the screen, no stanzas, and one sentence is rhyming in lines "1-3". In the poem "Ode To Enchanted Light" is a light, warm, calm, and relaxing poem. In the ward choice for the poem "Ode To Enchanted Light" has uneven stanzas, free versus in lines , and rhythm in lines "10-12.
figurative language
In the poem "Sleeping In The Forest" some similes are "i rose and feel as in water and luminous doom" in lines "15-18. the metaphor in the poem is " i sleep as never before, a stone on the river bed". In the poem " Ode To Enchanted Light" a simile is "drifting down like clean white sand". A metaphor is "The world is overflowing with water".
