A Season of Thanksgiving
November has quickly arrived and we are well into a fantastic school year! Our focus at the start of the year was to build meaningful relationships with our students. By establishing these connections, you have created an environment where students feel supported, cared for and loved. Students who are surrounded by trusting adults are better able to open their hearts and minds to learning. Thank you for continuing to be your students' Champion!

ESL Student Monitoring
Current ELL students and students who have exited within the last 4 years are required by the state to be monitored. You should receive an email noting your Monitoring forms are ready this Monday November 4th. When you log in to ELLevation, your Monitoring forms will be ready for you to complete in the Monitoring tab of your home screen. Monitoring forms are due in 3 weeks (Monday November 25th).
A Few Clarifications:
1. If you do not receive an email, it is probably because you:
A. Do not teach any current or recently exited (within 4 years) bilingual/ ESL students; or
B. Do not teach the subject area of ESL, Math, Science, ELA or Social Studies. These forms
are for Math, Science, ELA, ESL and SS teachers only.
2. Once you hit save/submit, you cannot make any changes to the form. Please review your form before submitting.
3. For current or former bilingual students (with an IEP) and in ICS classes, the special education teacher and general education teacher will receive the forms. Only the special education teacher of record should be filling out those forms (not the general education teacher).
Attendance
Staff Attendance:
A teacher's attendance is important. There is no single greater school-related influence on the achievement of a student than his or her teacher.
Please be mindful of your absences and remember that as per your teacher's contract: Personal leave shall not be taken to extend vacation.
Student Attendance:
Please remember to submit your student's attendance in a timely manner. It is extremely important that we immediately account for students that are not present in school. If you are made aware of student's absences or future vacation plans please forward that information to the school nurse.
