Leadership Week is a series of events you will not want to miss! Each year the Office of Leadership Development brings in leadership experts and partners with different departments within the university to present a variety of events designed to help students live and lead with integrity and meaning. There are many opportunities beginning March 24th through March 31st to participate in various activities. All of the workshops will be worth 5 Leadership Diamond Points! So, please take a moment to look over the newsletter in order to plan your week.

Exploring Leadership Speaker Series: "How Women Gain a Leadership Edge" with Jane Stimmler
Tuesday, March 25th, 6-7pm, Student Center Room 200A
Jane Stimmler, co-author of Breaking into the Boy's Club, the ultimate guide to success for women in business, will share best practices on how to overcome issues and challenges faced by women in the workplace. Stimmler will offer advice on how to grow and become a leader in a professional environment.
***Free copies of Breaking into the Boy's Club will be available to the first students in attendance!
The Exploring Leadership Speaker Series features area leaders who truly live out the practices of exemplary leadership and offer inspiring insights into our Temple University community. The presentation is approximately 45 minutes, followed by a 10-15 minute Q&A.
Lunch and Learn With Fox Alum Kate Markowitz
When: Wednesday, March 26th, 12:30-1:30pm

Throughout the semester, the Office of Leadership Development hosts a FREE catered lunch were students can share a meal with a Philadelphia community leader. The program is simple- enjoy lunch and a great conversation with an inspiring professional within the community.
Join Kate Markowitz the Associate Director of Enrollment for the Fox School of Business.
She is a Temple graduate (Fox ’06 and STHM ’12) who is responsible for recruiting students to the Fox School of Business. Markowitz works closely with the student professional organizations. In her role with Fox, she is one of the first faces potential business students meet and assists in their personal and professional development through commencement. She also serves the community as an active volunteer in Students Run Philly Style.

2013 AIA Philly Young Architect Award Winners: Different Paths to the Future
Thursday, March 27th, 6-7pm, Architecture Building Room 104
Join Brian Szymanik and Denise E. Thompson as the two recipients describe their unique career paths since graduating Temple University and discuss their plans for the future. Brian Szymanik is an architect and educator based in Philadelphia. He is a founding principle of MAKE., a multi-focused design studio based in Philadelphia. Denise graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Architecture degree, winning the AIA Henry Adams Certificate of Merit, awarded to the second- ranking graduate of the class and the Alpha Rho Chi Bronze Medal for Leadership.

The Diamond Leaders are a distinguished team of Temple University students who Learn, Grow, and Lead with integrity. They use their talents to empower the Temple and Philadelphia communities through service, peer facilitation, and developmental programming. Diamond Leaders participate in programs tailored to deepen their leadership development education and commit them to lead with integrity. Come out to the information sessions to learn how you can be apart of this unique experience!
