Monday, April 15
All Week - We'll be hosting a book drive; pass on books you have already read to others in need of books! The books will be distributed to organizations associated with Valor's Discovery program.
All Week - Fill out the Valor Library Survey to provide feedback on library services over the 2012-2013 school year.
Tuesday, April 16
All Day - In your community, teachers read! Look forward to hearing your teachers read some of their favorite stories aloud in your classes.
Business Lunch - Stop by the library to view the books-related movie that will be playing throughout the lunch period. Feel free to bring your lunch as long as you and your lunch stay in the movie area and you clean up after yourself! What movie are we watching? Hint: "When I was your age, television was called books!" --Grandpa

Wednesday, April 17
All Day - Pick up an entry form for the books and community-related contest. Entries are due by Thursday and all entry winners will be recognized on Friday!

Thursday, April 18
All Day - It's Poem in Your Pocket day. Visit the library to pick up a poem to put in your pocket and carry with you all day long.

Friday, April 19
All Day - We'll be unveiling the READ photos from Monday as well as the winners from Wednesday's contest.
A and B Lunch Periods - The Douglas County Public Library Librarians will be around to help you sign up for a public library card. They will also be demonstrating how to use their media resources throughout the lunch period, so bring your device and get ready to download an ebook or audiobook to read or listen to over the weekend!
Final Day - It's the final day of the book drive; be sure to bring in any books you want to pass on to another reader.
