What did you have to do to create the double bond?
In order to create the double bond, it would be necessary to take out hydrogen and add an extra bond between the carbons.

When there is a double bond, the atomic level changes as the 2 electrons are being shared.

The formula of this hydrogen is C5H4.

How could you change its structure without creating, removing, or changing any bonding?
In order to change the structure without creating, removing, or changing any bonding would be by switching up by making it a trans- instead of a cis-.

What name do we give to the structural relationship between these two forms?
We name the structural relationship between these two forms based on if it is trans- or cis-.

In the laboratory, how do we determine which form, we have?
In a laboratory, we determine the form that we have by checking its structure. For example, trans- is when the two atoms are locked on opposite sides of the double bond; however, cis- is when the two atoms are locked on the same side of the double bond.
