New Policy for Visitors
Part of keeping students and staff safe is knowing who is in our building at all times, so we are rolling out a system to allow us to do just that. Starting Jan. 24, 2022, WSD visitors will check in to our buildings using Raptor, a new visitor management system designed to assist with building security.
What does that mean for you?
When you arrive in a WSD building as a visitor, you will be asked to scan your ID, take a photo and complete the management system’s check-in process.
Raptor will screen the information against sex offender databases and locally customized lists of banned or potentially threatening individuals, instantly alert school officials to a threatening presence, and maintain a searchable log of all visitors.
Once approved, you will get a customized visitor badge to wear while in the building.
Thank you for your support as we roll this out and enhance school safety protocols!
Parents or guardians who are only picking up a child for the day will not need to use the visitor management system.
Kindergarten Screening and Registration 2022-2023
Dates have been set for the Wentzville School District’s Kindergarten screening process. This event is for all children who will turn 5 before August 1, 2022. Registration will take place online using the Quick Registration and Screening form. If your child has not been screened at the Parents as Teachers office or his/her preschool this year, appointments are required and can be made online starting December 1, 2021.
Screening appointments are filled on a first come, first served basis. There are several dates with morning and evening availability for screenings, please choose the one that works best with your schedule. Please be sure to check your address with our most current boundary data so that you are registering your child for the correct elementary school.
All screening appointments will be at Berrey-Place Center #1 Campus Drive, Wentzville, MO 63385.
Your Quick Registration form will be sent to your elementary school. They will be contacting you to complete your child's Kindergarten registration.
News From our Counselors
Thank you!
Thank you so much to all of the Mustangs who participated in our Gobble Gram fundraiser. Through your generous donations, we were able to tell each other that we are thankful for each other every day and we were able to donate $1283.00 to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital! A special thank you to the students who filled and delivered all of the Gobble Grams. The Gobble Gram team was mostly 6th graders led by Leah Corey and Melanie Seaman-Denson. Great job Mustangs!
Thank you to all who donated gift items to Morning Star Church for their Christmas Shoppe. In partnership with Morning Star Church and other WSD schools, we were able to bless over 150 families for Christmas. Thank you Duello for being a family who cares and takes care of each other and our community.
2022 Science Fair Information
Here are some things you need to know:
- Projects should follow the guidelines in the attached booklet.
- Display boards are not going to be offered through the office. Display boards can only be purchased through this website. You will need the small display boards (96cm top to bottom; 56 cm left to right.) Display boards purchased from other stores sometimes DO NOT meet guidelines.
- Please read through this Science Fair booklet to make sure your project will qualify.
- If your child advances to Regionals, it will be held on March 12 at Francis Howell North High School. Information is provided in the Science Fair booklet.
- Please note that your child will need to be able to carry and set up their board. This is different than years past due to Covid and no parents are allowed in the building. Boards are not allowed on the bus. Drop-off and pick-up for projects will be done as students arrive by car to school.
If you have any questions, please contact one of the Science Fair coordinators. hollyhoette@wsdr4.org or nicolegaffney@wsdr4.org
