Pence School Fundraiser

Pence Families-

We have once again decided to do an all virtual fundraiser because: 1) It is safe = no contact 2) It is easy. We also understand that some of you would prefer just to make a donation to the school and that will certainly be appreciated as well! If you so choose this option, just send a check in with your student to school.

The school uses fundraiser money to benefit our students. Here are some of the thngs we have used our fundraiser money for in the past:

-To reduce the cost of field trips for familes

-School-wide STEM Fair

-Library renovation

-Student incentive programs

-Classroom furnishings such as flexible seating, etc.

-Funding for our end of the year "Pence Pride Day"

Club Soccer

Club soccer will begin Monday. Students should plan on staying on the days that were chosen on the form: Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday. It will end promptly at 4:30 PM. Student pick-up will take place in the front parking lot. Please be here (on time) at 4:30 PM. For those riding the bus (on Tuesday/Thursday), please be patient as it may take a while for our drivers to drop everyone off as they have a wide area to cover. We look forward to having a great time together!

Reminder: Drop-Off & Pick-Up Routes Into Pence

Big picture
This is a friendly reminder that we would like for all families to appropach the school from the south on Ashby Street during drop-off and pick-up times. (Please see the map above.) We have worked with the Dayton Police Department to identify this plan to ensure the safety of our students, parents, and community. We ask that you adhere to this request on a daily basis throughout the year.

Thank you for your cooperation!

Hours are flexible with your schedule and you can pick the days you are available. Please check out our employment opportunities at If interested, please fill out the appropriate application for the job and apply for consideration. For substitute teaching, you would fill out a licensed application. For being considered as a substitute instructional assistant, custodian, or food service staff member, you would fill out a classified application. Any questions about the application process itself may be directed to members of the RCPS Human Resources Team at 540-564-3220. Thank you so much for any help you can provide in filling these positions with positive role models who want to make a difference in the lives of RCPS students!

Yearbook Preorders and more...

As you are attending extracurricular events outside of the school day, please consider uploading your photos to our yearbook photo database. Sometimes the best pictures are taken by you. We would love to potentially include these in our 2022 yearbook. Access in order to add your photos. Please note that you must include the grade level(s) and name(s) of any student in the photo. If this information is not included, your photo will not be added to the database. The photo must also meet policies according to RCPS. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Dove via email or (540) 578-3459.

Also, don't forget to preorder your yearbook now, and enter the school code 13754.

Starting Monday, students may preorder a yearbook with cash or check. If paying in cash, correct change is appreciated. Order forms will NOT be sent home. Your student will need to bring a payment to Mrs. Dove, in room 201, during homeroom in the morning and will fill out an order form then.
