Wear Green for St. Patrick's Day
A note from Mrs. Becker
This week we welcome Fr. Tim and Fr. Blake. We are excited to get to know them and to share our St. Anthony Family!
As Catholics we are an Easter people! We celebrate the joy of the Resurrection and the hope of eternal life that it brings us. Creating Easter traditions with your family is one way to celebrate as Easter people and to bring your family closer to God and our faith.
The Polk County Catholic Schools Website at https://www.polkcountycatholicschools.com/ includes a Blog that shares many ways to keep your family connected to the Catholic faith. This month you can read tips on "How to Make and Eggciting Easter Basket".
At school students are preparing for Holy Week and Easter Sunday by praying the Stations of the Cross and exploring their relationship with God.

Step Up For Students and Family Empowerment
Both Florida Tax Credit Scholarship students AND Family Empowerment Scholarship students MUST apply to renew their student's scholarship for the 2021-22 school year when the application is available.
- Early February 2021: RENEWAL students may apply.
- Early March 2021: NEW students may apply.
Please continue to monitor your email for updates on when the income-based scholarship application will be available through Step Up For Students.
IMPORTANT:
- Both income-based scholarships are once-in, always-in programs meaning students who received scholarship funding through the Florida Tax Credit Scholarship or the Family Empowerment Scholarship for the current school year (2020-21) may be automatically eligible for a scholarship for the upcoming school year (2021-22) as long as an application is submitted for the 2021-22 school year.
The 2021-22 application for both income-based scholarships is the same.
- Family Empowerment Scholarship renewing families MUST include a valid Social Security Number for all students and parents on the application.
- Siblings added to a renewal student’s application may also be automatically eligible for an income-based scholarship. Siblings of current income-based scholarship students will receive priority over new students; however, space is limited so please submit your application as soon as possible.

Masks are Required
COVID
We thank you for your support of our efforts to keep our students, faculty, and staff healthy. Our students, faculty, and staff will continue to follow all established protocols, including wearing of face masks, extra cleaning, social distancing, etc. We will continue to follow the protocols in place until further notice.
If your child is complaining that he or she is not feeling well or has symptoms including but not limited to stomach ache, body aches, or headache, please keep him or her home. We will be calling parents to pick up students when they are not feeling well especially if they are running a fever while at school. You have done a great job communicating with us as you have seen doctors. Please continue sending notes when returning from absences and calling or emailing when keeping a student at home.
Please continue to communicate with Mrs. Becker as soon as possible. Keep in mind that we are focused on keeping everyone healthy and we need your help. We follow the recommendations of the CDC and local health authorities, as well as, guidance from the Diocese of Orlando. Working together, we can keep students and staff healthy.
