Graphic Communications Junior Wins SKILLS USA Pin Design Contest!
The SkillsUSA Rhode Island Pin Design Contest had over 100 entries this fall from members all across the state. The designs were evaluated by Skills USA student leaders and then finalists were presented to the board of directors. The winning student designs will be used throughout various SkillsUSA events during 2023.
The state pin is widely distributed throughout the year to thousands of people and will be the official trading pin at the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference. Congratulations to Abigail as she will also have the opportunity to represent our state as a 2023 member of Team Rhode Island.
Recruiting Season is Underway at EPHS Career and Tech
As we approach the middle of this school year, it is time to start thinking about next year and the incoming class of 2027. Current 8th graders at Martin and Riverside Middle Schools represent the future of the EPHS CTC, and we are poised to help those students prepare for College and Career through enrollment in one of our 11 programs:
On January 5th & 6th, 8th graders will be bussed from Martin and Riverside to tour the CTC Program classrooms and Labs at EPHS during the school day to see the classes in action and learn more about how to apply for a program that interests them,
Then, on January 12th, student will be able to come in with their families to the EPHS Open House for Incoming Freshmen from 6-8pm for one more chance to visit program classrooms and labs, this time with their parents.
The application for admission to the Career and Tech Center will be open on our website, eastprovidencectc.com, beginning on February 1st and will close on March 15th. Applicants will be notified of acceptance in mid April.
