Wildcat Update

September 20th, 2020

A Message From the Principal

Thank you to all our Wildcat families for helping to make our first two weeks a success! We are all navigating this new way of school together. However, your partnership with us makes all the difference. As we are learning together, it has been great to see smiles, thumbs-up, and positive remarks from our families. I can speak for our whole staff when I say that it really means a lot to hear positive recognition.

Tomorrow (9/21) is actually Gratitude Day. Even in challenging times, I believe it is important to acknowledge things that make us feel grateful. When you have a moment, please talk to your child about some items that they feel grateful for.

If you have another moment, the Google Form below is a quick way to share a shout-out about a Weiss staff member. A single sentence or two can really make a great impact. https://forms.gle/Rx4AvhThzRxZHc3r6

Picture Day- Tuesday, 9/22

At Home Family Screener

All families should use the checklist attached below every day before sending their child(ren) to school. If you answer "YES" to any of the screening questions your child must stay home from school.

PLEASE always call our school office and report if your child is ill. Our secretary may ask you about specific symptoms that your child is displaying. Should your child and/or another family member that lives in your house receive a positive Covid19 Test, PLEASE NOTIFY THE SCHOOL IMMEDIATELY!

You can go to this link to view one of our GSD families administering the screening tool: https://youtu.be/SsZgaXtEPiU

School Lunch Through December 31st

A federal waiver has been approved to allow ALL students to receive FREE breakfast and lunch every day at school through December 31st, 2020. This means we are not collecting any money from any student. There is NO PAPERWORK that needs to be completed to qualify for free lunch and/or breakfast.

If you think your student would order a breakfast/lunch and you do NOT want them to, PLEASE work with your classroom teacher.
