Families will come during their designated time on the schedule above.
For the parade route, families will:
Enter the parade route heading north on 88th Ave
No traffic will be allowed to enter heading south on 88th ave (turning left into the parking lot)
Follow the yellow dotted lines on the map below. (there will also be cones to outline the route)
Exit the parade route heading north on 88th Ave
Grade-level-specific teachers will be along the route (keeping social distance guidelines in place) waving as families go by.
Students should sit on the right side of the vehicle if possible to best see their teachers.
*IMPORTANT NOTICE*
Families should attend in their vehicles only. In working with the Palos Hills Police Department, families should not gather outside to watch the parade either at school or in the neighborhood. We appreciate your help in keeping everyone safe during this fun event!
Picking Up Student Supplies
Information on how families can pick up student supplies will be coming shortly.
Parent Resource
Thousands of organizations, including non-profits and neighborhood groups, are helping people affected by COVID-19 all across the country. This website (findhelp.org) pulled these programs into one location. Just enter your zip code to find local programs to help you get food if you cannot afford it, bill payment assistance and other programs that serve the area.
Sharing Pictures
During registration, families had the opportunity to opt-out of student pictures being posted on our school social media. We know with remote learning many pictures have shifted from the classroom to students working at home. If you do NOT want your child's picture posted on a school social media outlet (Twitter, Family Focus Newsletter, or school website), please email Kevin Buscemi (principal) at kbuscemi@npd117.net.
