PTO Meeting
Buffett PTO is meeting in-person on Monday, January 23 at 6:30 p.m. in the Library.
Science Fair
Buffett 7th & 8th graders worked hard to create Science Fair projects this year! Parents are invited to come view the projects on January 24th from 3 p.m.- 5 p.m. in the gymnasium!
DATE CHANGE: 6th-8th Grade Strings Concert
This concert was moved to Thursday, January 26th from 7-8:00 p.m. in the gym. Thank you for your flexibility.
Picture Day-February 7
This is a day is an opportunity for parents who would like to have another picture of their child taken. This is not for IDs or the yearbook.

The next Family Engagement Night is a parent/student art night. A sign-up form will be coming soon!
Student-Led Conferences
Mark your calendars for March 8 & 9. Student-Led Conferences are the week before Spring Break, which is later in the year than in the past. Middle schools will hold conferences Wednesday and Thursday of that week. Then there is no school on Friday, March 10. Spring break is March 13-17.
New Faces of Bobcat Nation
New SRO: Officer Crnkovich
Officer Crnkovich is Buffett's new SRO. He has been part of the Omaha Police Department for 30 years. He started his career with the gang unit and investigations. Now, he works at schools. Officer Crnkovich is splitting his time between Buffett and Beveridge this year. He is married with five children, a dog, a cat, and several chickens. Welcome, Officer Crnkovich!
High Five Highlight
Buffett Middle School adopted
five core values four years ago that we live and breathe every day at school. These values are called the
Buffett High Five. They are
Be Kind,
Be Hardworking,
Be Safe,
Be Trustworthy, and
Be Your Best.
This section of the bulletin will highlight one story featuring Buffett Bobcats staying true to these values.
Living the Dream
Congratulations to three Buffett students for their performance at the City of Omaha's Living the Dream competition on Monday.
Cooper K. and Malik C. performed a duet rap about being biracial in America. View their performance at the 2 hour 11 minute mark.
Kenny M. performed an award-winning solo rap about his experiences and dreams in life. Kenny was featured on KETV after he took first place in the vocal performance category. He also won prize money to spend how he chooses. View Kenny's performance at the 2 hour 2 minute mark.

Do you know Buffett has a Yearbook Staff made up of a classroom of 8th graders? They work hard all year to produce a high school quality yearbook for our school. Buy a yearbook for only $40! This year's theme. "It Only Goes Up", will leave you speechless. It is filled with fun and memories that will last forever.
Parents of 8th graders-make this year's book even more special. Be sure to buy a yearbook ad. You can create a dedication page just for your 8th grader! Prices start at $30.
Yearbook staff will visit every Bobcat Den classroom this week to collect yearbook money. Cash or checks made out to Buffett will be accepted. Or you can click on the link below to order yours online. Sales end February 3.
