National Merit Commendation
Students who perform well on the NMSQT may be named National Merit Scholars and are often recipients of very generous scholarships, often covering his/her tuition, room, and board.
After taking the NMSQT exam last school year, two FHS students are being recognized as "Commended" students. Although these individuals did not earn National Merit ranking, their efforts are recognized and this important recognition sets them apart in future college applications. Congratulations!!!

FHS Home Football Games

3. Friday, October 14th - Fenton vs. TBD (crossover game)
Note: Students are NOT to bring bags or footballs to the football games.
The Reason Why:
Over the years, unsuspecting people have been hit by flying footballs, run into by students running around and not paying attention to their surroundings, peer disagreements (close to altercations) amongst kids of all ages take place, and reports of stolen footballs arise.
We have also taken the stance with HS students of no backpacks allowed in the games. We are not taking the stance of "No Bags" for everyone, but with HS kids, we don't know what they may bring in that could be thrown, drunk, left out in the rain (like the chromebook last week), etc.
Homecoming Pep Assembly Game Participation
In case students missed it in his/her school Gmail, here is the link: https://forms.gle/bgkTtARuejGkN8uMA
Depending on the weather on Friday, September 30th the FHS Pep Rally may be outside at the stadium, so students should dress accordingly!!!

Positivity Project: Theme of the Week: Perspective
This week our school community will be focusing on the character strength of Perspective. Perspective means you appreciate when people see things in different ways. You have the ability to understand the world from multiple points of view.
Perspective is also referred to as wisdom and is distinct from intelligence. People with this strength are sought out for advice because they see the big picture and can make sense of the world’s complexity. This strength of perspective gives individuals the ability to see to the heart of difficult matters and achieve clarity. Most importantly, they are honest and behave in an ethically consistent manner.
To practice and encourage the character strength of perspective with your child, please visit the Positivity Project’s P2 for Families (password: P2), where together you will watch a video, read a quote, and talk about the answers to three questions.
Last Week's Theme: Other People Matter: Being Present & Giving Others My Attention
Parker Knarker - Is that a New Student???
On each sign, there is a QR code, which students hover over using the camera feature on his/her phone to report an issue. This saves time, trips to the office, and brings attention to a problem much more quickly.
Coupled with the requirement to have vehicles on campus be registered, helps keep all students safer.
Student Parking
- Parking registrations must be done using the link below BUT accessed from a students' FHS gmail account (a closed system for the protection of students).
- A Student Parking Receipt (auto generated when filling out form - see button below) needs to be printed, signed and brought to FHS when purchasing the $20.00 parking sticker.
