what is Paralysis ?

Paralysis is the loss of the ability to move and sometimes to feel anything in part or most of the body, typically as a result of illness, poison, or injury.

What causes Paralysis ?

Paralysis is caused by multiple conditions, which may be classified as those which affect the muscles themselves, and those which act indirectly, through the nerves that control muscle action.

The most common external causes for paralysis include the occurrence of a stroke, head injury, spinal cord injury and multiple sclerosis.

What are the Symptoms of Paralysis

  • Numbness
  • Tingling
  • Pain
  • Change in Vision
  • Difficulties with speech
  • Problems with balance
  • Difficulties breathing

Is there a cure for Paralysis?

Some recovery is possible. The amount of recovery will depend upon a number of factors, specifically the location of the injury, the severity of the injury, how quickly treatment was accessed following the injury, and the type and amount of rehabilitation used.
