Meet and Greet Information

We are still planning our Meet and Greet before the start of school. If plans have to be altered we will communicate this through our Messenger system.


Families with the last names beginning with A-L: 12:00-1:00 p.m.

Families with the last names beginning with M-Z: 2:00-3:00 p.m.


If you are attending our Meet and Greet on September 1, 2021, here are some helpful hints:


  • Space in buildings is limited, please keep the number in your party small.
  • People entering the building will have to be masked the entire time they are inside.
  • Please note the times above. These are times that all three elementary buildings will be open to allow a smooth flow of traffic on campus.
  • Classrooms and teachers will not be available outside of these times due to professional development opportunities being conducted in the buildings.
  • Parking will be available in the following lots; Barclay, Barclay/Ginther Shared Lot, and Technology and Training Center (TTC) across the street.
  • We will not open doors early. All doors will open at 12:00 pm and again at 2:00 pm.

Complete our Acceptable Use Policy Before the Start of School

The Acceptable Use Policy should be completed before the start of school. This will allow students to use computers at school for benchmarking, interventions, and teacher assigned tasks. There may be opportunities for students to bring their laptops home during the school year, and they will not be able to bring the device home without this agreement being completed. The link to the agreement can be found below. The website will mention payment, but that will be waived again this year.

Updates from the Superintendent

You should have received the COVID updates from the Superintendent this afternoon (attached below as well). If you have any questions over the weekend as to how this will impact Barclay School, feel free to email me at scott.morrison@bcs1.org

Barclay Arrival and Dismissal

Arrival and dismissal will be similar to what we had last year at Barclay School. There will be some minor changes to the dismissal procedures from last year, and they are different from what they did at Ginther School last year. We will have a snaked line forming in the Barclay School lot in the morning around our visitor parking spaces, but not in the afternoon for dismissal.

Parents should communicate your plans for pick-up with the Barclay School Main Office. This year we tried to make it easier for you to let us know your schedule for student pick-up. You may fill out the form on this Bulletin to let our office know your plans. You may also send an email to our office staff at barclay.elementary@bcs1.org


Students will be organized for dismissal based on these communications unless you notify the main office that there has been a change in plans. Changes should be confirmed with the school by 2:45 pm.
