College Application and Transcript Reminders

For seniors who are applying to schools with a January 1 through January 5 deadline, requests for transcripts and recommendation letters are due by December 2. The school is closed for the holiday break from December 17 through January 2, 2023. No requests will not be processed during the holiday break.

When planning for applications, seniors should remember that the Counseling Department requires ten school days to process transcripts, forms, and letters, as they cannot be processed after school hours, on weekends, or on holidays.

For important reminders, transcripts and applications visit College Application Process.

Dual Enrollment Deadline

Students taking dual enrollment classes at any college (except Young Harris) must submit a copy of their spring college class schedule to their counselor as soon as they enroll. The deadline to submit these schedules is December 15. Young Harris will notify your student's counselor when they register for classes in their program.

When applying to the college, students must follow the college's process and adhere to their deadlines.

Online Course Registration - Second Semester

Students taking semester 1 (A) of an online class or students taking a semester-only online class should register as soon as possible for the semester 2 (B) class or select a second-semester class.

Seniors - as we begin to send transcripts to colleges, it is important that it accurately reflects all classes, including second-semester online classes. Not having the correct classes to meet graduation requirements reflected on a student's transcript may hinder college admissions.

Register for courses through Fulton Virtual or Georgia Virtual.

End of the Semester

Check out when the last major test will be given for each class. What about recovery? See the schedule for those days as well on our website at:
