Listen to the MUSTN’TS, child.

We are about mid marking period for the fourth marking period. All students should have updated grades in OnCourse.

It was reported that 7th grade is playing truth or dare for money. I am not sure if this is taking place at lunch or in the classroom, but please be vigilant.

PARCC EOY testing will begin May 4-7. Please follow the link below to view the testing schedule. It has been updated and make up testing is being recorded daily.

EOY PARCC Schedule

Spring MAP testing is also setup. Please be aware of PARCC testing so that we are not unnecessarily bombarding students with tests. MAP is available through the end of the school year. If students are PARCC testing I would prefer they PARCC test first and save MAP for later. Please stress to the students when MAP testing that they should meet their target growth/score and that this is important for their placement in different programs next year. You may want to offer extra credit as a motivator for students that meet their target. Intrinsic motivation is best but we are approaching the end of the year and many will have already taken PARCC and may need an external motivator.

Please remind you students about proper bus behavior. Maybe it is the full moon but bus complaints have been on the rise lately. Field trips are coming and if they cannot ride properly to and from school they may not be going on the field trip/s.

Teachers in grades 3-8 please send a list of the students who meet the following criteria for marking period 3.

Receive only two check marks a marking period. These can only be #4 check marks. All other check marks disqualify you from this special reward.

These are the students eligible for the TEAM student recognition. June 12th will be the trip to the Trampoline Park for those student earning honors or high honors (all four marking periods) and meeting the check mark requirement (marking periods 2-4).
