From the Superintendent . . .
In the twelve years I have been at Aquin, I’ve been blessed to serve in the roles of teacher, coach, principal, and superintendent. In the past four years, I have spent an increasing amount of time at Aquin in an official capacity or to be a part of and/or support a multitude of activities and events, which means a decreased amount of time at home. As my personal life is getting ready to make a significant shift towards the next chapter, I have spent the last year and a half in deep prayer and reflection about the path God is calling me to venture down.
My priority vocation is my marriage, which over the past four years has often not been the case. Many times I have put the needs of the school ahead of my husband and family. Any of our Aquin faculty and staff can tell you when they encounter a family issue/situation, my response has always been, “Family First”. I have not done a very good job of adhering to my own mantra. As my husband and I prepare to become ‘empty nesters’, we have made a prayerful and conscious decision that a change is necessary. Therefore, I will be resigning my position at Aquin effective June 30, 2020. The Rockford Diocesan Education Office has been notified and has already set in motion the search for a new administrator.
I am forever grateful to all of the amazing and passionate educators I have had the honor of working with, a support staff who are dedicated and go above and beyond, and for the students who have brought so much joy to my life. I want to thank all past and present Aquin parents for their show of support for me. Aquin will always carry a very special place in my heart and will forever be in my prayers.
Sincerely Through Christ,
Mrs. Rosemarie Brubaker
