Message from HVMS PTA
"It's hard to believe that the school year is almost over. With the 2021-2022 school year quickly approaching, we are looking for volunteers to serve on next year's board. We are currently in need of a president elect and several other board positions including someone to handle social media (Facebook, emails, etc.) and hospitality. If you are interested in any of these positions, please let us know, and we can provide additional information."

HVMS Spring Sports Tryouts
HVMS spring sports will officially begin on Monday, April 12. Spring sports include baseball, softball, boys' soccer, girls' soccer, and track. Please click here for spring sports schedules and coaches' information.
Any 7th or 8th grade student who wishes to try out for a spring sport must have a VHSL physical on file with the front office. Students without a VHSL physical on file with the front office will not be allowed to try out, which could result in not being able to play a spring sport this year since participation in all tryout sessions is required to be considered for a team.
- Baseball Tryouts: Monday, April 12 & Tuesday, April 13 - 2:45 p.m. - 4:45 p.m.
- Softball Tryouts: Monday, April 12, Tuesday, April 13 & Thursday, April 15 - 2:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. (No tryouts on Wednesday, April 14)
- Boys' Soccer Tryouts: Wednesday, April 14 - Friday, April 16 - 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
The team will hold workouts from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 12 & Tuesday, April 13.
- Girls' Soccer Tryouts: Monday, April 12 & Tuesday, April 13 - 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- Track: Season begins on Monday, April 12 - 2:45 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. (Practices will be Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 2:45 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.)
Players should report directly to the field at the appropriate time. Sports items may be stored in the wrestling room (at the bottom of the ramp by the gym) during the school day as long as items are stored neatly along the wall without touching other students' equipment. Specific questions about tryouts should be directed to the appropriate spring sports coach.
6th Grade Team Managers
6th grade students interested in managing a spring sports team should have a parent contact the coach directly by email. Only students with VHSL physicals on file with the front office will be considered for manager positions. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we may not be able to accommodate all manager requests. Please click here to find the email addresses of our spring sport coaches. Baseball will not have managers this season.
