Dear Staff,
As you are likely aware, over the past six months a team of 44 people from throughout our community have been working together to develop a new strategic plan for the district. Coined Connect 44, this process has truly been a collaboration between all stakeholder groups and will result in a new future direction for Lombard 44.
On Wednesday, Superintendent Ted Stec will be releasing a draft copy of the plan. He is interested in seeking your additional input to further strengthen this critical document before providing the final plan to the Board of Education for approval in April.
Ted would like to have this conversation over breakfast, which he is calling a “Cup of Conversation.” Coffee and breakfast treats will be provided to all staff on the following date and time:
Hammerschmidt-- Thursday, February 21st, 8:00 a.m. - LRC.

Testing Windows
- Illinois Science Assessment (ISA 5th & 8th Grade): March 4 - 15
- IAR (the new PARCC test): March 11 - April 12th
- MAP: April 23 -May 22
Testing Schedule
Please note that we will NOT be using the LRC as the testing headquarters this year. Instead, we will be using our chromebooks and macs to test IN YOUR CLASSROOMS.
A draft of the schedule is in progress. It is very likely that we will avoid Mondays and Fridays
REQUESTS:
Grade 3-5 Teachers and Interventionists- Please let me know if you have any specific requests for when to test, or specific days in the testing window to avoid. My hope is to have a draft ready to preview by the end of next week.
