SANFORD october 25
State of the WORD wall: Action Item
A source of words for the word wall should be a natural harvest from student writings of words that you expect students to spell correctly.
Students can then reference those words when they are writing so that they are correctly spelled and used.
Please make sure your word wall is active and being used over the course of the next week so that no later than Monday November 4 you have an active word wall in your classroom.

Sanford Learners-always learning
I am always learning just like the students. I went into Mrs. Correiro's fifth grade room and saw the anchor chart for 'chunking' division. I referenced the anchor chart and tried to figure it out on my own, but fortunately her STUDENTS stepped in and explained it to me.
Reading and writing scenes that caught my eye this week
Students in Mrs. Morford's room buddy reading a big book. I also note that all students in the background are actively engaged--reading group, writing, and use of technology resources.
