2021 Graduates
Odyssey of the Mind
One of our Loyalsock Township Middle School teams "OMer the rOMer" Div II team placed 9th at Worlds in Orlando, Florida on June 11-12, 2021. Approximately 230 teams from across the country participated!
The problem this year's middle school team tackled included -- among many other elements -- designing a vehicle to carry one team member around a course; the vehicle was not to be battery powered (nor, needless to say, gasoline). Through their determination and perseverance in this difficult year, the team created a solution that advanced them through Regional and State-level competitions, and now World finalists!

FAREWELL Mr.Gerber & Mrs. Krout
Mr. Gerber is a native of South Williamsport and graduated from Lycoming College with a bachelor's degree in History Education. He has served in the Loyalsock Township School District for thirteen years teaching elementary students and middle school students, most recently focusing in on American History. He has served as the middle school social studies curriculum coordinator, mentored students through the "Dads" IMPACT group and spends much of his spare time with his family and coaching. He would like to thank LTSD for all of the opportunities that have been provided over his tenure. It has been his pleasure to work at Loyalsock and he will truly miss the students, faculty and staff as he continues to educate and coach students at his alma mater and home district of South Williamsport. Mr. Gerber reminds students, “There is nothing more fun than working hard towards a worthwhile goal."
Mrs. Krout graduated from Kutztown University with a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education and Communication. She also earned a master’s degree in Education from Wilkes University. She has been with our district for seventeen years; teaching seventh, ninth and eleventh grade English, creative writing, speech and drama, and most recently seventh grade reading. She has also served as a high school and middle school curriculum coordinator, instructional coach, CARE team member, and advised the middle school literary magazine and “Pay It Forward” student groups. Mrs. Krout moved to Oklahoma with her family and plans to explore new adventures and enjoy a more relaxed lifestyle. Her favorite quote is, “In a world where you can be anything, be kind.” Just imagine what kind of world we would have if everyone followed this simple advice.
Best wishes on their new adventure. They will be greatly missed by the students and staff of Loyalsock and we wish them all the best as they begin this new chapter in their lives.
Mr. Godin will begin new roles at Loyalsock Township Middle School as he will depart 8th grade writing and take on the role of 7th grade reading teacher, succeeding Mrs. Krout.

Mr. Fisher - Intervention Specialist
LTMS congratulates Mr. Fisher, for being hired as our Intervention Specialist. He has worked the past two years on the secondary campus in collaboration with AmeriCorps to improve lives, strengthen our community, and foster civic engagement through service and volunteering. He is described by our students as energetic, kind and courageous. Mr. Fisher reminds students, “Always be you, but do it in a respectful way!”

Mr. Peters holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Lycoming College and is seeking a Masters in Instructional Technology from Bloomsburg University. His pre-teaching experience began with Mrs. Wahl in a LTHS world history classroom and he is excited to return to that content. He has toured over 10 different European countries independently and while performing with the Lycoming College Choir.
His hobbies include reading, playing guitar/other instruments, traveling, riding motorcycles, fishing, lego-building and listening to podcasts. When he is not in the classroom, he’ll be attending school concerts, sporting events, helping his friends and community or spending time with loved ones.

This digital platform will allow you, and your student(s), to complete and access athletic forms via computer, tablet, or mobile phone. It is HIPAA, COPPA and FERPA compliant. Please see detailed instructions, on how to register, in the announcement section of the website or click here. You can also check your email for some additional quick TIPS and TRICKS. If you are still having trouble, there will be an open on-line registration event at the High School on Friday, July 30th from 3:00 - 5:00 PM. Please feel free to stop by the High School Auditorium during that time for assistance. There will be iPads available and someone to assist with the process.
