Elementary Updates
Dear Elementary Parents,
We have a few weeks left of the school year! Time surely has flown. This month is a busy one with STAAR assessments, MAP Growth testing, field trips, Field Day, and awards ceremonies. Please ensure to keep up to date by reading communications from your child's teachers and the STEM Academy. Let's finish strong and make sure our children are keeping up with assignments. I strongly encourage you to communicate with your teachers if you have any questions or concerns. As always, we are happy that you have chosen STEM to partner with you in your child's education!
Best Regards,
Monica Elizondo, M.Ed.
Elementary Principal

Secondary Updates
Dear Parents/Guardians,
The end of the school year is a flurry of events. I want to take an opportunity here to highlight a few of those.
We still have several STAAR/EOC exams left to take. Please make sure that students are watching the calendar for their upcoming STAAR tests. We must ensure that students get a good night’s rest and a healthy breakfast before testing.
The next item coming up is our 8th-grade bridging ceremony. This is an opportunity for our soon-to-be high school students to be welcomed into our Pathways Program. May 15th is a short time away; this annual event is one not to be missed.
The next event to highlight is our annual boat race contest. The t-shirt orders will be taken soon. However, there is already buzz amongst our students. I highly suggest if you are out and about and see some duct tape that you snag it up. Our high school students will have a new addition to the agenda at the boat races. The announcement is coming soon!
Lastly, is our senior graduation event. Our seniors will meet for practice at noon on May 26 for the Senior Tailgate. Then students will report back to graduation at 6 pm that evening. The official ceremony is set to begin at 7 pm at the Wagner Noel Performing Arts Center.
Keep watching the calendar and email to make sure everyone is up to date. Let us all finish the year strong.
In Service to others,
Dr. Cody L. Griffin Ed.D
Principal - STEM Academy Middle and High School
