Curtis Chronicles
April 11, 2022
Hello from Curtis Principal, Sonya Pitcock
Cougar families,
Thank you to PTA for sponsoring a great dance last week! We had a great time and appreciate all the support from our parents!
Just a reminder that our school day starts at 8:20 a.m. That means students need to be in their classroom at 8:20 a.m. Students not in the classroom by the time the tardy bell rings will be sent to the front office to get a pass and to document their first period tardy. We know traffic can sometimes be dense, but just a reminder that our doors open at 7:30 a.m. for student drop off. We are open for 50 minutes before the tardy bell to allow the traffic to be spread out to avoid congestion. Thank you for helping your students start their day off right by being on time.
Tomorrow, April 12, will be our second and last day of MAP testing in testing format. Students MUST bring their chromebooks from home to use for testing. All chromebooks need to be charged and ready to use for MAP. Students will report to their 2nd period class for Math and Language testing. Please help remind your students to bring their devices.
Spring Pictures will be on Thursday, April 21st. Students are expected to be in dress code for pictures so any dresses must be mid-thigh and tops must be in dress code as well.
Students and parents will have an opportunity to preview the courses they selected for next school year from April 18 – April 25. Please read more about the process here.
We hope everyone enjoys their day off on Friday, April 15!
Sincerely,
Sonya Pitcock
Principal, Curtis Middle School
