August 2023 (Where the Arts Come Alive)
Message from the Principal
Dear Holladay Families,
Let me be the first to welcome you back for the 2023-2024 school year! It is will great pleasure that I join this incredible community and I am excited to meet you and our children. This year, we are committed to ensuring an outstanding learning experience for all our artists as we support their development as scholars and citizens. The dedication of our teachers shine, through the details in their lesson plans and the spirit with which they have decorated and prepared their classrooms.
We look forward to continuing our goal of providing a 21st century learning environment that is vocabulary and technology rich. As we continue to promote academic proficiency in our students, we will be developing the following key skills in our students: critical thinking, relationship building, conflict resolution, and leadership. Your support and cooperation, along with our best professional efforts, will support this goal.
The work we do is a labor of love and meant to be collaborative. Please let the teachers and I know how your child(ren) are experiencing school this year. Through open communication, teamwork and a dedication to continuous improvement, we promise this to be a rewarding and enjoyable school year for the children.
School is now in session!
Love,
Principal Humphries
Shakenya Humphries-Gholson, M. Ed.
