Our Path Note Topic
Mark Smith
Greeting WASD Community! My name is Mark Smith. I have worked in public education for 27 years (10 as a teacher, 17 as an administrator). My wife, Kelly and I, have 4 children (two are teachers) and have called Waynesboro our home since 2008. I am excited about serving the students and families in Waynesboro and pledge to make decisions based on “what’s in the best interest of students.”
Rachel Fortney
I would like to introduce myself, I am Rachel Fortney. I have lived in the Quincy area my entire life. I graduated from Waynesboro in 2002 and received my college degree from Penn State Mont Alto. I work for the Giant Company and have for 20 years. I have 2 step-sons that attend Mowrey Elementary. I'm also the PTO treasurer for Mowrey. I love this community and am excited to be a part of this School Board.
James Marvin
Hello everyone, I am James Marvin. My family and I have been in Franklin County since the fall of 2017 and we are happy to call Waynesboro our home. My wife and I have three children and our oldest just started kindergarten, Go Summitview Sharks ! I work for a local community bank as a member of a financial advisor team. I am looking forward to my term as a member of the school board. My hope for my time on the board is that students will grow and flourish in their studies and their passions, teachers are supported and encouraged as they shepherd and cultivate the talents of our students, staff is equipped with what they need to support the learning environment, and the administration is empowered as they lead throughout the district. I hope that I will be able to meet you all soon. Thank you!

Piece of the Puzzle
This Week's Piece of the Puzzle is Lin Allis. Lin has worked diligently at WASHS for many years. If you don't know Lin, he is the one that has a beautiful new Caddy every couple of years. He is always the first one in the building (sometimes before 4 AM) and he is always on the move. When needs arise, Lin handles them. Lin's p[osition is more behind the scenes than others, but his work is equally important. If Lin wasn't here on a daily basis, things would not go as smoothly for administration, teachers, staff, and students. He is dedicated to his position and to those that he serves.
Congratulate Lin Allis for being this week's Piece of the Puzzle!
