It's Time for the 3rd 9 Weeks Parent-Teacher Conferences
Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!
MES Parents - Get your students involved this week by celebrating Dr. Seuss' Birthday! Mrs. Voeller has a lot of great activities planned.
One of Third Grade's Wit and Wisdom lessons this week had students creating a tableau (models or motionless figures representing a scene from a story or from history) from Moonshot by Brian Floca. The students loved completing this activity and were very creative in how they chose to show scenes from the book!
First grade students have learned about their teeth this week. They learned how to care for them, why baby teeth are important, and what happens at a dentist appointment. Students made diagrams of a tooth and wrote a short paragraph about their new knowledge. Wow, 1st graders are writing paragraphs! Great work!
Shout Out to MHS Art Students!
Marci Deleon and Anna Joslin have been selected to have their artwork displayed at the 2021 Governor’s Young Artist Competition. The exhibit will be on display at the Governor's Mansion in Little Rock.
Basketball Tournament Information
It is Regional Tournament Week for the Lady Dragons and Dragons!
- The Regional Tournament will be played at Magazine.
- The Sr. High Lady Dragons will play Thursday, March 4 @ 10:00 AM.
- The Sr. High Dragons will play Thursday, March 4 @ 1:00 PM.
- With a win on Thursday, the team(s) will play on Friday, March 5 at the same time they play on Thursday.
- If you plan to watch both games, tickets must be purchased for each game.
- The State Tournament will be played in Melbourne the week of March 8-15.
- Tickets for the regional and state basketball tournaments can be purchased through GoFan Tickets. Please visit the website by clicking HERE to learn how to order tickets, access tickets, and validate tickets. Printed tickets will NOT be accepted.
Dragon Baseball and Lady Dragon Softball 2021
After this week's weather it is hard to believe that baseball and softball will soon be starting.
- Game Schedule for 2021
- Fans are asked to bring lawn chairs to games.
- Being outside will be great, but we must continue to practice social distancing and wearing a mask when necessary.

2021 Jr. High and Sr. High Cheer Clinic Information
- Sr. High Cheer: Forms are available on the bulletin board across from the office in the lobby. Turn in to Mrs. Clark (Lockhart)
- Jr. High Cheer: Forms are available in the middle school office. Turn the form in to Mrs. Payne.
- Mandatory parent meeting Wednesday, March 3 @ 5:30pm. Onsite & virtual options. Coaches must have an email 2 days prior.
- Clinic Days: Monday, March 8 & Wednesday, March 10 in the middle school gym after school until 5:30pm
- Tryouts on Friday, March 12 after school.

Attention Incoming Juniors and Seniors
Students entering 11th or 12th grade next year (2021-2022) interested in WATC or Concurrent College Credit, will need to see Mrs. Daniel in the counseling office to pick up an admissions packet, or visit the websites to download your own
Packets will be due to Mrs. Daniel by Spring Break.

Students need to make sure they have joined the Google Classroom for their graduating class (i.e. Class of 2022). If not, email Mrs. Daniel requesting an invite.
