AMS Chorus News
Weekly update for the Chorus at Austin Middle School
Happy Friday!!
Things have been rolling along in the chorus room at AMS! There hasn't been any big news to keep up with, hence the little hiatus to your email inbox. But....we are starting to crank back up as we head into the end of the school year.
We are well into our LGPE music and our field trip is right around the corner. Please see the section below with the details for LGPE.
In other news, our March 14th concert has been cancelled. There was a scheduling conflict with the accompanist so we are cancelling that concert. We will try to get video of the performances at LGPE and share them with you so that you don't miss out on hearing them sing these pieces.
Wishing everyone a great weekend and happy March! Just a few more weeks until Spring Break!
Mrs. Patrick

YES! All chaperones need to fill out the bottom portion of the permission slip and also need to register with the district for a background check. Please go to the main PCSD homepage. Select "parent dashboard". Scroll down to the button that says "Secure Volunteer" on the left hand side of the page. Click on the button to Volunteer. Fill out the information that it asks for, and we will do the rest. THIS MUST BE COMPLETED BY MARCH 18TH IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE A CHAPERONE!!
What's for lunch?
8th grade: We will be stopping at Chick Fil A for lunch and students will need money for their lunch. Students also have the option of bringing their own lunch, or getting a sack lunch from the cafeteria to take with us. Please indicate on the permission slip what your child will be needing.
7th & 6th grade: We will be stopping at Zaxby's and McDonald's for lunch
(they are right next to each other and students will have a choice) and students will need money for their lunch. Students also have the option of bringing their own lunch, or getting a sack lunch from the cafeteria to take with us. Please indicate on the permission slip what your child will be needing.
Does it cost anything? We are asking for a $3 donation to help with the buses.
Can I come and watch even if I'm not a chaperone? YES! Anyone can come and watch the performances. Please contact Mrs. Patrick for the specific performance times for each group if you are interested in coming to watch. There is no fee to watch them perform. Please limit small children who may make noises during the performance from attending, as the performances are being judged and recorded. We want the judges to hear the performance!! :)
