Race for Education Rocked!
With the music blaring, the sun shining and students walking, jogging and running around the soccer field, Gayman concluded another successful Race for Education today. Thank you to the two co-coordinators, Suzanne Lahetta and Patty Bucklen, for their tireless work in organizing the race. I would also like to thank the numerous volunteers- from the parents opening hundreds of envelopes to those monitoring the course today – you all contributed to the success of our 4th Race for Education.
Firefighter Eddie Visits Kindergarten
Did you know that October is Fire Prevention Month? This week Firefighter Eddie made his annual visit with the Kindergarten students. Not only did he show us the fire truck, but he took the time to open all the compartments and explain how the tools are used. We saw the oxygen tanks, axes, and even the jaws of life! After getting a chance to sit inside a real fire truck, the students listened as Firefighter Eddie taught the children about fire prevention. Lucky Mrs. Menard even had an opportunity to try on Firefighter Eddie’s gear! Thanks Plumstead Fire Department and a big thank you to Firefighter Eddie for coming twice so both the AM and PM classes could participate!
