Week of April 26-30

Onsite Students Need Clearpass Or Symptoms Checklist Daily

We would like to thank families who assist with our daily health/safety student screening process by completing the symptom checklist PRIOR to arriving on campus daily. Students must have evidence of Clearpass or a paper-based symptom checklist prior to entering campus.

Correia is hosting summer school this year to support students. Families of students who have been identified as priority candidates for the summer online program have already received a message. There are two models...onsite and online. The onsite model is a four-week program in the areas of English, Math, Science, and History. The online model supports students needing to recover credits for Integrated Math 1 Adv and Spanish 1/2 and 3/4. The program is accelerated into two blocks...6/21/21-7/9/21 and 7/12/21-7/30/21. SDUSD will use the Edgenuity Online Program for online summer school. Edgenuity is the platform used at iHIgh Virtual High School.

We will complete assessing priority consideration candidacy early next week and open up availability mid-week. Be on the lookout for more information.

As we adjust back to onsite, we want to help facilitate early dismissal to expedite the timely retrieval of students. We have created this Online Student Release Check-Out form. You may now complete it prior to arriving Correia. If you are going to have someone else besides you pick up your student, please make sure they are on the contact list and be prepared to show an ID.

We need your help! Please have students plan ahead of time to minimize student deliveries of water bottles, instruments, Chromebooks, earbuds and/or lunches.

Thank you for your continued support!

All students will need a FULLY CHARGED computer every day. We prefer a district-provided Chromebook is used. Each classroom is equipped with charging stations.

If you currently do not have a district-provided Chromebook, please contact our Librarian, Julie McKay for more information at

Merging Efforts of the Correia & Dana Associations

The Correia and Dana Associations have combined efforts to look at the possibility of combining/merging associations. The initial phase of the design thinking process of the group was to get proximate with the student and parent experience at our 2-year middle schools operating as individual entities. This collective group has looked at the pros and cons of combining efforts, research current models that exist in SDUSD, investigated all necessary requirements, amongst other considerations.

This link provides a quick glance at the consolidation efforts of the team. Each association will vote at their respective association meeting.
