Principal Message

Dear Sequoia Families,

Today your "Principal Message" is coming to you from the Honorary Principal for the Day, 4th grader, Henry Jackson.

My Day In The Principal's Shoes:

"This is your honorary principal of the day, Henry Jackson!" I said into the loud speaker. Today was crazy! I got to be the principal for the entire day. My favorite thing I did today was getting to go into all the classrooms and give out green slips. The most interesting class I went to was Mrs.Laplante's 5th grade class. They got to free draw aliens as part of an activity. The most behaved class I went to was Mrs. Rose's kindergarten class.

Also, Mrs.Clark took me out to lunch. We went to Lepe's, I got the bella bowl. Then, we got donuts. We ended the day off by checking out the charter school. "As always, GO TREES!!!!!!!!" I said into the loud speaker to end the day!

Today was a great day with Mr. Jackson as my sidekick. Henry won the "Principal of the Day" auction item at the walkathon and we had such a fun time together. He made announcements throughout the day, did some yard duty and went into classrooms to give out "green slips" for positive behavior and learning. We went out to lunch, he wrote part of my newsletter (and made some color and background changes! Love it!) and he helped me do some maintenance checks around campus and on the playground. There was more to our day of course but those were some of the highlights! Henry is super helpful and has some great leadership potential. Thanks for a great day Henry!

I hope you all have a great weekend. Check out the announcements below for more info about updates at Sequoia and our 2nd episode of the Giant Insights Podcast!
