Who is Michael Phelps?
For those of you who don't know who Michael Phelps is, he is an Olympic Champion in swimming. His last year in the Olympics was in London 2012 Summer Olympics. His first year to compete in the Olympics was in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. He won many medals and his career in the Olympics had started to take its course! He had also been competing in swimming world championships and compete in the trials to make it into the team for US at the Olympics. The First Olympics With Michael Phelps: 2004 Summer Olympics Athens
Michael Phelps first competed in the Olympics at The Summer Olympics in Athens. As a newbie to the Olympics not many people knew him until the end. He competed in Freestyle, Butterfly and also Backstroke. In this first competition in the Olympics he won, Eight Gold medals and two bronze medals. He was then on his way to becoming a sports superstar and an Olympic Champion.

2008 Summer Olympics at Beijing, China
Michael Phelps' goes to his second Olympics competition in Beijing. Since he went to a competition in the Olympics organization before, he probably knows all about the ropes. He was swimming at Beijing very well and professional. He won eight gold medals and he broke many swimming world records and Olympic records. He competed in butterfly, Individual Medley, freestyle medley and relays. After winning 16 gold medals and two bronze medals so far in his Olympic career he is now noted in the Olympics hall of athletes.

Michael Phelps goes to his 3rd and last Olympic competition and he finished with a great outcome. Now known as one of the great Olympic competitors he is now one of the most decorated Olympic athletes of all time. He competed in his best profession of swimming, Butterfly 100m,200m and individual medley 400m. He also competed in freestyle and 400m relay. Since this was Michael Phelps' last Olympic Competition he had finished with 22 gold medals, 2 bronze medals and 2 silver medals making it 26 medals in all of his Olympic Participation.

After our Olympic athlete retired from our Olympics he will be taking some rest and he will be doing some golf but he said that he will try to keep on keeping his talent of swimming in mind of doing in his free time as well. He will still keep in touch with swimming and will never forget about his expieriences with the Olympics.

His full name is Michael Fred Phelps II. His nicknames are, MP, The Baltimore Bullet and The Flying Fish. He was born on June 30, 1985. He practices swimming at North Baltimore Aquatic Club.
